I’m not going to sugar-coat this. Let’s just say, I’m taking the “Bull by the Horns” on this topic. People like to say they are “spiritual”. What exactly does that mean? Be sure you know what you’re saying because there are good and bad spirits (I’ll go into more details on this topic in another blog). So, when you say you’re spiritual who or what are you referring to and what or whom are you being led by?
Some people are being led by satanic spirits and don’t even know it. They say they’re spiritual but what all satanic spirits have in is evil and wickedness that always leads to a path of destruction like seeking directions from a wee-gee board or conjuring up spirits from the grave. These things may seem great a t the beginning, but the devil never plays fair and at the end of the road there is nothing but pain, headache, confusion, mental and/or physical anguish and sometimes loss of life.
The characteristics is evil and wicked spirits are that they are unpredictable but mostly exhibit meanness, hostility and cruelty at the core and it affects the one who’s delivering and the ones receiving. Many times, the person doing the harm will afflict harm to themselves. Involvement in satanic worship leads to wickedness in all forms; inevitably someone is hurt and/or destroyed. Isaiah 3:11 “ Woe to the wicked! It will go badly with him, for what he deserves will be done to him.” It is a deep dark path you do not want to go down or you may not be able to come back from it. If you are around someone like this, stay away from them or you may find yourself getting caught up and doing harm to others you say you love or even yourself. Matthew 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, “Be gone, Satan! For it is written, “‘You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.’”
Some say they place their trust in “crystals” and what they’re telling them. So, what are the crystals telling you exactly? I am still a bit confused on how a “rock” can direct your path in life. Be careful because evil spirits often attach themselves to inanimate objects like these. At the beginning it may appear that you are actually getting what you want but this too is a trick of the devil.
You don’t need a rock to tell me who you are. You need a higher power, you need God. "Abstain from every form of evil 1 Thessalonians 5:22. We are to worship God and to avoid those practices or objects that lead us to sin.
Some say the “Universe’”is their guide. The last time I checked, God made the world, the universe and everything in it. Who or what exactly is the “Universe you’re worshiping?” Is this your way of getting around saying that you worship God, our Father in Heaven, the one who made the universe? Then worship only him and no substitutes. Why substitute the real for a knockoff? Top of Form
Hebrews 11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. Genesis 1:1-31 “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”
Some enjoy the study of “astronomy”. They like to worship the moon, stars, sun, planets and so on. What’s perplexing about all of this is they are worshiping elements made by God. Genesis 1: 3-7 “And God said, let there be light…..,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. God told all of the elements when to rise and set and they obey every day. How can the moon direct your life? It obeys God’s will.
Some like to be in touch with their spiritual side. You say you’re “one with nature.” Let me make sure I’m understanding this philosophy…are you saying you worship all of nature, such as mother earth, mother nature, it’s creatures, the forces of nature like the wind, ocean or whatever else’s involved? Are you saying that you are one with these creatures such as plants, trees, animals, that kind of stuff? How are they helping you be spiritual? What does this even mean? How does worshiping these kind of things enhance you or make your life better? These things supply our food, shelter and basic things that support or improve our everyday physical presence while on this earth? The question is who made all of them? God did. They are made by him alone. Genesis 1:9-20 “God said let the water beneath the sky flow together…. God called the dt ground land and the waters seas. The God said let the vegetation – every sort of dead being plant, tree…”Let eh skies be filled with birds of every kind and sea creatures and every living thing and swarms in the water…”.
Can these things bring about supernatural miracles in your life or the changes you need? Can they bring you the kind of eternal peace you need in tragic or traumatic situations? No, they cannot. They too rely on things God made for the same things for survival. He is God of them all and there is no other one besides him and there are no substitutes. Ephesians 4:6 – One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Some people go as far as to worship physical idols, such as statues. These idol cannot move, talk, walk or do anything other than stand where they were placed by man. They have no real existence. Wherever they were positioned is where they will remain until moved. If you hit them with a sledge hammer most likely they will break. If they are made of wood and fire is set to them they will burn. If they are made of gold or metal they can melt if placed in a fire. Can these statues talk to you and answer your prayers? Are they able to guide you in important matters in your life? There is no doubt that they cannot. These are statues, trees, buildings, or physical objects with no known life or quality except what man chooses to give them. They are made by man from the same elements of the earth God created. Deuteronomy 4:16-19. “Do not corrupt yourself by making an idola of a man or woman, an animal of the ground…
Don’t be seduce into worshiping them”. Exodus 20:2-4 “I am the Lord Your God; you shall not worship any idols”. Psalms 13:5-15 “The idols of the nations are silver and gold, made by human hands. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. They have ears, but cannot hear, nor is there breath in their mouths. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them.”
Are you still searching for something to attach yourself to give you solace? It’s not a plant, animal, statue, idol, planets, force of nature. God made all of these. Why do you and would you choose to worship something that cannot provide to you what only God do. He is the maker, worship him.
God is the one that made all of these, and this means that he has the power to create and transform; the power to heal and grant miracles; the power to deliver, and open or closed doors. God is our father and Jesus is our Savior. If you’re looking for something to attach yourself to, worship and be guided by Jesus our Lord and Savior. Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.“ Jeremiah 30:17 “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord.” Psalm 107:20 “He sent out his word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go, and I will guide you with my hand.”
Be Your Best Always
